Most people with DVR's now fast forward through commercials. A advertiser wishing to ironically comment on this phenomenon could run their commercial at one-third speed. The only way to experience this commercial at full speed would be to fast forward through it.
Reposted from vintage_ads ( community.livejournal.com/vintage_ads/1813189.html). The paper suggests it is from the 50's, but the sardonic humor suggests it is contemporaneous. I couldn't find anything more about this product using Google, which further fuels my incredulity.
