Harper Lee, author of "To Kill a Mockingbird," is
to publish a second novel, "Go Set a Watchman." She wrote it before TKAM, and it deals with Scout as an adult. I'm hoping for a successful effort, but as I writer I can't see how Scout can be successfully translated into an adult. The title itself sounds Thomas Wolfe-ian, derivative of that spirit--and one Wolfe in the literary fold is enough.
But like I said, I hope for the best. What are your expectations?
