my 5 simple pleasures:
1. eating a perfectly ripe banana.
2. the ability to learn something new: whether it be a new language, how to knit, or finding out a little quirky characteristic about someone you've known for what seems like forever.
3. receiving something handmade. some of the best gifts i've ever gotten were mix tapes, sketch drawings, and collages. to know that you are appreciated enough to warrant that type of gift is an unbelievably fabulous feeling.
4. a long hug: to be held in your lovers arms and to feel complete.
5. acting like a kid again. not having a care in the world and doing something fun. i think this one is brought up because of all the snow outside; i really want to go sledding. i love to play in the snow and run around and be crazy.
