Help, please!!

So, I'm making my dress for senior prom this year, and now that I'm done with applications, it's probably a good idea that I get started.

Except, I'm very much indecisive about what dress I actually want to make, and your opinion (yes, every one of you) is required to aid my decision-making.

Pick what prom dress Brianna will make! )

My vote is the top picture, the dress all the way on the right. I like those sorts of styles.

Sam here. My vote is the top set, with the dress towards the right, although I'm not too sure about those patterns (It's too much for that dress.)

But, I love this dress (and painting, of course!). Did you get that from my LJ? ; )

You should go witih that dress if you can get it made!
But, don't go with patterns on that one!

I did get that picture from your LJ, actually.

I'd never have a dress made for me - not only would I not know where to go, but I can do it myself. :D

I think I'm going to wind up modifying the C pattern to try and get it to look like the Leyendecker picture.

OOOH. Go for it! I'd love to see you in that dress, or anything close to it!

I never had a dress made for myself neither. Not that I can imagine why I would: but, if I could afford to (not that I have the hands to make stuff out of fabric), I would!

My vote is C, runching decided on a coin toss, no extra flounce -- in the Leyendecker picture, is it not just illusion of movement that makes it look all flouncy? I think the mermaid thing is cool anyways, especially on the right two.

I think I'm going for C, too.
By "runching" I meant not the flounce on the bottom, but the gathers along the whole body section. (Whereas on the Leyendecker image, the body section is just flat).

I think the answer to the minor questions will be found in trial and error, though.

I know; I guess you misunderstood me, I knew what both meant. I hope what I said makes sense with that in mind.

i think C... either the middle one or the one on the right...

Yeah, I'm leaning towards that too.

I was also inspired by the fact that Michelle's mom was able to make such an amazing one for you.. so.. it is possible! :]

Aww, thank you!

I'll make sure to get tons of pictures of prom, of course. Maybe even some of the process of making the thing, if I remember. :D

It's hard for me to say... B is the prettiest, but it's far too elegant and bulky for prom. C is also very nice, all shapely, but I wonder if you can move much in that sort of design? If not, I would choose A, because what good is prom if you can't dance? But if you come up with a style of C that lets you have freedom too, I would choose that.

:D.

I researched more on B, and from pictures with actual people in it, it's not nearly as magnificent. It looks very plain, and the skirt wasn't poofy at all. I was disappointed!

For C, that's a really good point.. mobility.. But then again, modern "dancing" is more like just shaking your ass.
A is pretty, but it's fairly generic. If I'm making something, I figure I'd like to make it be unique, you know?
