rain, rain....go away!
so today Face and I were coming from church.
we were walking to her car and it looked very cloudly.
we were driving out the parking lot and it started raining.
1) We made it to the car before it started raining!
Then we were talking about life. We have our weekly 1-on-1 update to fill each other in on how we are doing.
Sorry to say, but I was talking about how much of a struggle I've been having at...just know it's somewhere! I know I shouldnt get mad at anyone...stoop down to low-level and down to those standards. I try my best to get things done there and it's so unfair that no one helps a teamate in need, especially when you help them. So, I gotta let that go, but not forget what we could work on! (Got a meeting at work soon...I need prayer!)
Still talking and talking and finally got to my house. It was raining for a while, but we always stay for a bit catching up before I get out the car. We prayed togetha and I had an ephiphany!!!
2) IT STOPPED RAINING BEFORE I GOT OUT OF THE CAR!
It wasn't a "coninsidence" that the rain started after we left church and stopped right before I got dropped off!!! God was in FULL CONTROL! And it's not much of a long ride anyway! IT CAME AND LEFT SO QUICKLY!
It reminded me how yes, He is the "Dot-Connector, indeed. I get to frustrated with things in this world. I felt so ignored yesterday, was treated very unfairly, and saw how some people just dont care sometimes. It hurts, but I'm not in control!!!
Just like God provided a way for us not to have a drop of rain hit us, despite it being wet outside, He has control of my life!
The rain went away. So can these little problems.
And I didnt even get a drop on me!
I surrender
I sent text messages on my break on Saturday to my friends to pray for me. I had my bible out searching for a topic that would help me during that specific moment.
Praying now. Ephesians 6:10-17
NOT A COINCIDENCE THAT I HAD MY BIBLE READY BEFORE I GOT THAT TEXT!
"The Armor of God
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
