I've finally managed to get through an entire day without any cold medicine, so I actually felt alert enough today to do some more editing on the Games book, and some actual writing in it, with my addition of a bunch of material cited from Jane McGonigal's book Reality is Broken. Well, it's official: I have bronchitis. Again. The doctor gave me a prescription for a five-day course of antibiotics (at least this kind of thing is no longer 10-day) and a new emergency inhaler. I'm on Claritin. I'm on Mucinex. And still my nose is a factory of yuck and I'm going through tissues at a rate that makes me wish, for the zillionth time, that I owned stock in Procter & Gamble.

OMG, MAKE IT STOP.

I woke up this morning to discover that my right eyelid had been glued shut by a discharge from in the night that had caked on my eyelashes and stuck them together. Lovely. When I went into the bathroom and cleaned the gunk off my eyelashes, so I could look in my eye, I found that it was rather pinkish-red, my left eye a little less so. Brilliant. ( Read more... )

Chris got a stomach bug on Sunday night and now Ben, Rachel and I all have it. Started for me at 5:30 am and now I have the dry heaves.
