Like woah, I'm actually finally getting the opportunities that I've been hoping for to prove myself as a costume designer! These next two weeks will be very interesting. I think that I might be designing for this dance company (Not sure of the name). The event's website is here:
http://www.livearts-fringe.org/details.cfm?id=8928 The reason that I only *think* that I'm designing for this event is what the email said.
"I would like to invite you to work with us on costuming for Happy Inside and Meteorologica. Please let me know if you're interested in sharing your budgeting magic with us."
So I think that means I'm designing, but I'd be just as happy working with another designer and getting a reference in Philly. Either way, I'm working a show during the Philly Fringe and that is good exposure. So whatever happens, I'm totally happy. So good things there.
In other less exciting news: Worked a pretty bad day at TCP, got my hours cut for the rest of the week, but that now means I can work all of my hours at the library. So I'll probably end up with 20-30 hours total a week which is as close to a full time job as I'm going to get right now. To be honest I'm not even worried about that bit. I can work from gig to gig and make money doing odd jobs until I find something steady that I enjoy doing. Its a non-issue right now.
So... hurray?
