Pirates and promotions
So today was a most excellent day for me...my Staffing Sergeant brought me into her office this morning and informed me that I was the successful candidate in the promotion I was running for.
Granted, I was the only one that applied this time around, but they'll still normally go through with the interview to be sure you're qualified etc. but because my Supervisors narrative (basically a document with my supervisors opinion of me - not something I myself wrote) was so positive and the Unit Commander for that job received good reviews of me from my current Unit Commander, they decided not to go through with the interview and take me on force. Squee!
This is a $15,000.00 raise for me. Yeah, little bit excited. Top rate for this one (reached in 7 years) is pretty darn good too. I think it ends up somewhere around or just over $50,000.00/annual. So to celebrate I'm getting a new computer and a DS. ^^; I'm such a geek...
Also, I found this nifty (free!) game/chat/entertainment crazy thing called Puzzle Pirates where you can play mini-games and be a pirate. It's entertaining for now. I'm on there as Zayda (of course) you know you wanna join up and be one of me hearties! ;)
Also, MFF's theme for the year is going to be freaking pirates. I must attend this con now, there are no other options. :D
