Jimmy: Shit, you all got FAT

Apr 14, 2005 15:45

I need to be back on my medication, very soon. It’s getting bad. Shit.

Me: i feel like such a burden.
Me: hahah
Giant: to who?
Giant: you
Giant: never
Giant: i love hearing you talk about your problems
Giant: don't ask why
Me: i hate how heated your eyes get, before you cry
Me: it's this intense, warm pain
Giant: yeah, i hate that feeling
Giant: it doesn't come often, but i know the feeling
Giant: is there anything you wanna talk about?
Me: i hate that sleep is the only time i'm left alone.
Me: i think it's one of the reasons there are so many suicides
Me: when you are asleep, nothing can touch you
Me: it's the only place you are safe from everyone. even yourself. i can't be bipolar in my dreams... i can't feel the demons in my head when i sleep
Me: i'm finally free.
Me: but then my alarm rings, and i'm thrown back into the prisons of my mind, and wait for that final moment of relief when i can sleep again.

The msi show was amazing. Perfectly fucking amazing. I’ve seen them 4 or 5 times now, and this was the best.

I’m not gonna go into that much detail about it, but here goes. The first band Morning After was okay, the lead singer was this pretty fugly girl, whose entire act was centered around her boobs, and whether or not they would pop out of her shirt while she was dancing and singing. How… stimulating. By about the 3rd song, it was really, really old.

Next was Kill Radio, and they were better. The lead singer looked like the love child of Ed Norton and Brad Pitt. Seriously. And from Fight Club too, with the big bags under their eyes and shit.

The crowd was getting pretty rowdy after Kill Radio came off, there was a bunch of pushing and shoving and shit. Got pretty old, pretty fast but oh well.

But when MSI came on, they opened with Seven-Eleven, and I nearly died cause that’s pretty much MY song by them. There was the stereotypical surge forward, and we all got crushed. Steve wasn’t there though, he's getting hip replacement surger, but there was a new guy in his place, Rob from tubring. I felt bad for him, because all the Steve fans were spitting all over this guy, and it wasn’t his fuckin’ fault. But he was AMAZING. Honestly. People would stop watching Jimmy sometimes, and watch this guy. He did such a good job and he turned the crowd around by the end of the night. He was attractive too, in this strange way. Not the same way that Jimmy is attractive, in a fucked up, skinny heroin addict sort of way. Rob was sort of plain looking, but his personality radiated off of him. Kitty was adorable as always, and Lyndsey was wearing a marching band outfit, with the pomp and all ^.^

People often accuse Jimmy of having gone soft, or that he’s a pussy now because his shows aren’t exactly as RAW as they use to be. It pisses me off, because bands mature and change too just like regular people, their shows aren’t going to stay the same. But he completely blew them out of the fucking water, by doing an a-capella version of Bring the Pain. He did it because the new guitarist was having problems, so they couldn’t continue right away. So Jimmy goes, “Okay guys, let’s do this…’ and goes right into it, without the rest of the band. We were like O.O It was so hott. And he completely blew away all the doubters. Fuckers.

The very end nearly made me cry though. So during the very last song, I can’t remember what he was singing at the time, it may have been Bitches, but he points up to the 2nd floor crowd, where the bar was and yells “I’m comin’ after YOU’ and he climbed the fence on the side of the stage. He was walking along bar tables, kicking over drinks, pouring them down onto us as he was singing. He went all the way around, so that he got to the staircase on the other side of the room, and for a few moments he just stood there, staring at us. Then he says “This looks like a zombie movie,” which it probably did, because we as a huge mass had all turned around to watch where he went. But when he started up the next song, I think people missed the fact that he was referencing Shaun of the Dead, or even referencing Queen, but he started to play MY Queen song. He sang “Don’t Stop Me Now,” as he ran back so he could climb down the fence again. I seriously was nearly crying, just cause I was so happy and overwhelmed.

The ride home was really peaceful, holding Alex’s hand, my head leaning against the seat, his forehead occasionally touching mine.

At the end of the show, I had almost no energy left in my legs and I seriously had to hold myself up because my knees nearly gave out three different times. They were shaking so badly.
I have yet to catch up on the sleep from it, so I may go take a nap now. I also want to read some more… I have 15 days left of school. How fucking hott is that? And after that, I get to go on internship with the beautiful Ms. Helena (whose birthday it was today). I’m almost free.
