Last night was possibly the worst concert I've ever paid $3 for. The first band, Wasteoid Workforce, was terrible (almost as bad as their name). Compiled of a Rockabilly drummer, an Eddie Vedder-esque bassist with no personality, and some nerdy engineer guitarist, they had a boring feel as if the basic Weezer riffs car collided head on with boring lyrics man driving the slow tempo car. The next band Green Light Go was slightly better. They were more upbeat with the drummer playing the same beat for the entire set, and fortunately at one point the sound guy bumped the microphone way down so we didn't have to listen to the shrill female vocals. I didn't even stay for the last band on the basis that 12 Ways from Sunday has both a number and a day of the week in their name, making them automatically bad.
After a week of missing Math class, I finally found my new section. And guess what... it's taught by a computer. And for the guy that barely passed Basic Programming, this is not good. So now I had to get the Dean's permission to get back into my old class, taught by a not-so-bilingual Chinese guy who I can't understand.
But to end on a good note, my World Music assignment that was due today (that I forgot) doesn't get recorded until next week, so I can turn it in late. Also tonight is (assuming we find the ingredients) Casbah Pizza night!
