Well I'm at my parents' house for father day. Saw Batman Begins for the second time yesterday, this time with my Mom (Carrie, Chad and I saw it at the first showing on the IMAX. That is so the way to see that movie. The Batmobile sounds like an angry beast with that sound system). Batman Begins is a very good reason why one would want to write comics. To make something so Iconic and everlasting and to still have such weight and revelance in this day and age is amazing.
After eating today, my Dad fled from my Niece and Nephew and the rest of us watched the Incredibles. First off Holly Hunter's voice was very annoying. Then I kept noticing all the Fantastic Four bits in the movie. Let me go through them:
Mr Incredible - strong, durable - The Thing
Violet - Force Fields, Invisible - Invisible Woman
Elastgirl - Stretching abilty - Mr. Fantastic
Dash - Hotshot, fast speeds - Human Torch (kinda of a stretch but it fits when
you add that to the baby that can do flames).
The Main Villian (I can't spell the name) - Science Villian (with no powers) with a grudge against the lead male hero - Doctor Doom
Jack Jack - Baby that has amazing and more powers than the family combined - Franklin Richards
The Underminer (the villian at the end) - a villain that lives under the ground and looks like a mole (and his first meeting with the heroes is him busting forth from the ground) - Mole Man
There was even governmental control of Superheroes which was similar to the Mutant and Super Hero Registration Acts plot that ran in the 90's
