How lame is this?

I received this in an email a little while ago (I'm not sure where they got my email address from, though I have a slight inkling) and it's so dumb.

Anime-DX < contact@anime-dx.com >Anime-DX is a very large centralized anime resource. Our servers run on a 100 M/Bit dedicated line allowing you to download Japanese anime ( Read more... )

Pretty much. I just feel bad for, like, newbies and stupid people. Because they may not know, you know?

well they can't be charged for not knowing and being swindled, but it could cause them problems.

Incidentally, it's the "Don't Buy These Fansubs From Anime-DX" banner that kept me from enjoying Goong 7-9. So they're ripping off dorama too.

And yeah, shit like that pisses me the fuck off, but it's not uncommon. There was some girl in Poland a few years back who used to charge for access to BL manga translations. Till the official companies shut her down, that is. And then she got all pissy and wounded over it. Grr. >.

I forgot that was in there.

I just got so irritated when I found that in my email. First I thought it was spam but then when I checked out the website I just became really irritated. It's like paying for a few blades grass or something. If you really wanted some you could go out and pick some off your lawn, why pay someone for it? They must really think people are stupid... sadly, a lot of people are. XP

I hear you. And I honestly don't know //why// people fall for it. If you're savvy enough to get online and dl stuff, then you should also be clued into the fact that a) it's of questionable legality and b) it's of even more questionable legality to //pay// for it.

And it also really strikes me the wrong way that people are making money off of what a lot of dedicated fans provide for //free//.

Exactly. It just burns me for some reason. I think I'm a lot more irritated about it then I should be. *sigh*
