Array 107 [Voice]

Sep 10, 2009 16:47

[Someone's breathing hard in the feed, as if they just got the fright of their life. They're taking slow, regular breaths to calm down. In the background something bubbles softly, making noises. The hiss of steam is regular.]

... gosh. Wow. I led a pretty interesting life.

What now?

[A ruffling of pages as Al's breathing continues to calm down.]

Bedside table drawer, under... on the leg.

[Slow groping of fingers against something wooden, followed by a metallic click and the sound of something ripping, like tape -- but in the background there is the familiar sound of a transmutation circle activating. Al gasps in shock and the PCD is jostled.]

That could have been dangerous... arrays?

No, I drew these...

[A pause, a ruffle of pages, and another soft click of a key sliding home in a lock, followed by a drawer. A few more soft whispers, but they're too quiet to make out. It sounds like Al's reading something off.]

... puzzles. Array puzzles. Why would I take so many precautions?

[Several minutes of silence, followed by the sound of an array activating.]

"In quaestione versare..."

Ah.

[Al whispers a bit more, but it's even harder to make out, and the words are incomprehensible, anyway. Probably in code. The feed times out.]
