[A thready sound like a phonograph, a whirring and catching noise. Hollow and mechanical, as if it's coming through wood.
Slowly, the soft strains of a music box echo through the PCD, oddly loud and tinny, as though the device is sitting on top of the box itself.
It's playing 'Pop Goes the Weasel'.
In the background, after a few repetitions, Alphonse begins to hum along. There is another sound of winding, and in the background, another music box starts up, playing 'Ring Around the Rosie'.
It repeats again, and again, with the songs 'You Are My Sunshine', then 'London Bridge' and... well, it's hard to make out, but the recording goes on until all of the music boxes have run themselves out.
... but the last one playing is "Happy Birthday to You".]
