[The PCD flicks on late at night, one of several rambunctious kittens, its eyes and ears barely open, bats at something next to the device, which appears to be under a bed. Whatever the kitten's batting at gives a sharp roll across the floor before bouncing onto the screen. It's hard to make out, but to some the object is chillingly familiar.
The men's ring is heavy and silver, fairly well-maintained though it's got a few scratches here and there; obviously well-worn. The flat bloodred gem is incised with a symbol in black, rimmed in silver;]

[The kitten in the background squeaks as it is tackled by one of it's littermates, yowling in infantile feline annoyance as the little bundles of fur tumble in the background.
A larger cat with silky white fur comes and knocks them apart with a decisive paw, picking up one in her mouth to carry them back to bed.
The ring and PCD both remain where they are until the feed times out.]
