I came across a Vine Sphinx in my garage today, squatting on a weathered door. He was huge, I'd say at least three inches across even with his wings tucked in like that.  I think I may paint him, something along the lines of my cicada painting... I've always loved New Mexico, but there are large portions of it that I've never seen. So last weekend me and a few other girls went to Santa Fe and sniffed around.

My otaku-ness has been made official. I'll be attending the A-Kon, an anime convention in Dallas. Although I love anime, I've never considered myself a hardcore otaku... cosplay, for instance, seems a bit extreme for my tastes, and I'm not so much interested in J-Pop and such.
