NEWS TIME
Hello again, dear livejournal!
I'm so sorry for neglecting you so badly for so long, but it looks like I'll be in need of a blog to organise my thoughts again.

We went on holiday to Exmouth and on our first full day there after a morning of snorkelling (when we saw literally every critter - I'll post some photos later), he took me up to the lighthouse (under the pretence of "whale watching"), got me to read a sign (I... I read all the signs on holidays and in general) and when I turned around he was down on bended knee, with a beautiful sparkling ring!
He caught me completely by surprise, I didn't suspect a thing. (In hindsight, I probably should have noticed some things. Like him wearing his brand new awesome shirt when we were supposedly just going shopping in Exmouth... And the whole "You should dry your hair" "Why?" "You might... see people..." should have been suspicious)
Sooo yeah. I am pretty happy. Totally clueless about weddings though, but I'm sure I'll pick it up as I go along. :)
I'm starting to wish I'd been one of those girls who daydreamed about "the big day" all the time so I had an idea of where to start, but I'm sure we'll get there, and that's the main thing!
Also, I was just reading my old LJ entries (because haha, you don't actually do work while you're at work, amirite?1) and wow, I have changed a lot since we first started going out. Reading those old entries isn't too painful, but I sure as hell wasn't as mature as I thought I was in all of my 17-year-old wisdom.
1. I'm not a bad person, but my boss does owe me quite a lot of money at this point. Oh and my group certificate (the thing you do your tax return with, which was due in JUNE). Yes, I know I need to get a new job. I'm... working on it.
