Who: Madoka and YOU! When: Second day, Breakfast to just before lunchtime Where: Multiple places! Warnings: n/a; also a note, will change to action spam if you prefer that format!
Having stayed in his cell for most of the first day, Fujita decided it was time that he looked around the prison. But no matter how curious he was, it still never beat the hunger that was emitting from his loud stomach. He wasn't in much of a mood to eat yesterday, however, it had taken a toll on his general comfort so he walked towards the cafeteria for a quick morning meal. He wasn't in a mood to spoil himself with luxurious food either so he took whatever he was able to get without using his money, or rather, his points, as it was called in this odd prison. As he placed his meal down on the table to eat, he spots a girl with puffy eyes and he can't help but think that it was the result of crying, which was quite reasonable since he's pretty sure no one likes prison. He was really never good at being social, however, he decides to try and talk to her.
"Um, hello, I'm Fujita, nice to meet you...! I know it's not any of my business but..., are you okay?"
She looks towards him, and tries to smile a little bit. But that doesn't work-- she ends up frowning instead, the kind of unhappy frown you can't smooth down.
"I'm Madoka. It's good to meet you too, Fujita," she thinks she might end up crying again. "Mm... I'm scared. I don't want to die, I don't want my friends to die..."
She didn't look very happy and probably wasn't, Fujita wasn't quite sure how he could comfort her. To tell the truth, he was rather scared too.
"U-uh, it's okay, everyone's scared of that too but, somehow, we'll make it through!" he said, even though his comforting sounded lame. They were all useless words really, he wasn't even sure how "everyone would make it through," but he hoped at least that he had helped, even if it was only a bit.
She accepts the comfort; he's awkward, and his comfort doesn't actually help much, but he's there and he means well. So she tries to smile for him again. "Mm," she says. "Yeah... It just feels like I'm in a dream and I can't wake up."
Kanji's curiousity had just gotten the better of him. He had to know if there was some sort of sewing kit or something at the shop. It was...on sale right? What harm could come from buying something like that
( ... )
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry--!!" Madoka flails a little bit, unsure of herself and worried. "I wasn't looking where I was going, I'm sorry... huh?"
She looks at a small box she was in the middle of putting into her own bag. This isn't hers! It's obviously a sewing kit, and she wonders why he's getting that. She looks up at him sheepishly, and holds it out.
"Is this yours? I was just picking things up without thinking..."
Oh shit- oh god dammit! She's seen him buying something like that! His big bad guy reputation is ruined! Now she's going to laugh at him, and say that he's some kinda weirdo, or a gay! In one swift motion, he swiped it outta her hands, and stuffed it into his own bag.
"It...it ain't like that, s'not what you think! I...I uh-...n-need it for sewin' up my wounds from after I'm done kickin' peoples asses, yeah! Yeah that's it!"
He was so brilliant.
Kanji was about to be over and done with that conversation when he noticed her dress she had just bought. Without even thinking, he narrowed his eyes and got closer to her. Grabbing at the hem of her dress, he started to inspect it. Personal space was something he was not aware of when he noticed sloppy work. "This shit ain't done right...tch- someone seriously didn't know what they were doin' when they sewed this together. Sure it looks okay from a distance, but I--..."
Madoka is bewildered by the flurry of activity; she edges back a little bit when he takes the hem of her dress. That's too close to flashing her underwear! The frilly white slip underneath it is see-through, after all. She blushes a little bit, and takes the hem from his hands.
But she does feel a bit disappointed to hear that the dress she spent money on isn't very good, and looks it over. "Is it really not very good...?" She has absolutely no clue that he might be embarrassed about that. It doesn't feel very strange to her-- certainly it's a little odd for someone as tough looking as him to know, but it's not bad!
Nanashi was walking near the shop, taking the time to explore his surroundings, it was probably best he knew where everything was. He was surprised when a young girl walked into him.
Nanashi blinked at her twice before kneeling down to help her gather her things. "Don't worry about it."
She looks embarrassed for her carelessness, and lets him help her pick up her things. "I'm sorry, mister... I wasn't looking where I was going. T-thank you."
Nanashi nods, to show that it really was alright. She looked very young, not as young as Kotarou but still too young to be in this twisted excuse for a prison. "Are you alright?" He handed the things he had gathered over to her.
MOMO hadn't really felt up to doing all that much exploring the day before, but a new day brought with it new possibilities and, well, MOMO was hungry enough to find the cafeteria come breakfast.
It's gross, but she'll take it-- it's free. Not much is free here.
She did notice another girl, who looks young, and wandered over to ask directly, "Are you alright? It's okay."

It's not, but MOMO was determined to pretend.
