Bah, I am so bored. I was going to do my thoughts on Torchwood this week (or maybe the whole season), but I feel kind of stupid doing so as I have to wait and watch them on BBCA meaning I'd be commenting on episodes everyone else saw and commented on two/three weeks ago...
I did notice that hardly anyone seems to be looking at the Owen Episodes with the episode 'Adam' in mind. It's weird, like because everyone was retcon-ed at the end the things said don't matter. Which doesn't make sense when Retcon doesn't actually DELETE the memories so much as move them to the Subconscious. It has to, otherwise Gwen wouldn't have been able to remember Torchwood and Suzie wouldn't have been able to program those people (that man and according to Jacks Blog a few others in 'They Keep Killing Suzie'). Also look at the way Rhys glares at Owen in 'Meat', Jack I get, but Rhys has no reason to look at Owen that way unless subconsciously he remembers Gwen admitting to sleeping with Owen as he would then view Owen as a threat.
Plus when you look at 'Dead Man Walking' without the view of 'Adam' it doesn't really make sense especially the whole bit where Jack brings Owen back, in Jacks Blog he says it was so that The Team could say goodbye, but that seems over the top, even if you believe Jack sees Owen as a son (though that view does make Jacks reaction slightly easier to swallow). However if you think in the back of Jacks mind is the memory of promising to be the one to save Owen it suddenly makes a whole lot more sense.
About 'Something Borrowed' can I just say Pregnant!Gwen is one of the cutest thing ever? I swear I just loved her, if that's what it takes for her character to be well-rounded and interesting Gwen should be pregnant all the time. Hey, they did it with Joes wife on 'Family Guy' why not 'Torchwood'?
