Summary: He knew from the beginning that this was just a disaster waiting to happen.
Lights dimmed and the seatbelt sign flashed on, the floor beneath him began to vibrate and the sounds of seatbelts clicking all around him were tell-tale signs of the aircraft's pending projection into the air. Chiaki cowered in his cramped seat as the plane began to taxi. This was a bad idea. He knew from the very beginning that this was just a disaster waiting to happen.
There was a sudden jolt as the plane began to propell in the air. As if on cue, Chiaki's eyes began to tear up and he began to whimper. This was his nth time riding on a plane, but things always resulted to him latching on to the nearest object and cowering like an abused dog. He counted himself lucky, for this time the nearest object happened to be his unofficial girlfriend.
Nodame sighed. "Sempai... Shinichi, don't worry. Everything's going to be alright,"
Chiaki scoffed. Easy for her to say; she hadn't experienced the tramautic accident that he had over a decade ago. Chiaki scoffed and shut his eyes in an attempt to block out every external stimulus causing him to react this way. A few moments later, he felt something soft and wam press against his lips. He opened his eyes to find Nodame slowly leaning away, an understanding smile on her face.
"It's alright. I'm here," She said. "And I'm not going anywhere,"
