Veggies
I have to say, the produce market yesterday ended up being a good deal in my mind! I am probably going to try to go every week, since the prices are pretty good and it's nice to go for a stroll. I'll jsut avoid the things I think are a little on the pricey side, like the bell peppers. It's odd because they sell things per piece, not by weight, so some things seem to be an awesome deal, some things not so much. I had a salad dinner last night, the lettuce I bought was very crispy and the cucumber was great, so I have high hopes for the future.
I've been working on my crafting, I think this purse project is going to end in fail ultimately, but I have learned a lot from working with leather. (Thanks for all the project inspiration and scraps, dragonfriek!) That stuff is just so stretchy, and uni-directional, and thick... Ultimately I think I have use a little too much backing vinyl, I am torn about whether or not I should remove some of it, or just go with it at this point. Next leather design will not be so structured a shape... Anyway, I have some future ideas for purses, both in leather and with some of the unique fabric in my life.
Been watching Season 1 of Big Love, it's been pretty interesting. It's a complicated-web case. I hear later seasons get a little over the top.
Today has been a reasonable day at work. I tell you, having other students around to talk with and work on problems with does motivate me to perform. This sort of stuff makes me think maybe I have it in me to be a good boss, I think I am getting better with coming up with "next directions" stuff and figuring out who should do what and synthesizing it all back together. I am excited for our big group meeting on Friday, I think we will blow our professors away.
Tonight I am going to Douzo in Boston with ebenezer, I am pretty psyched because he always comes up with interesting places for us to dine. Should be the usual fun evening! I'll let you know what I think of it...
