Boring Saturday Night

Aug 27, 2005 21:18

So hi. It's Saturday night and I'm doing NOTHING! Dana is babysitting and Jeff, of course, is still out on tour. I've been watching a lot of tv today. Doesn't that sound exciting!? I've watched: Real World, Laguna Beach, How Do I Look?, Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?, Sweet 16, MXC... and I think that's pretty much it. I have been super lazy today. I did pack a little bit of my crap. I am going back to MKE on Tuesday morning. The internet people are coming around 1030 on Tuesday and then I have to go grab my books. Just a groovy time. But I did find out some exciting news. Jeff comes home on Tuesday! I thought it was going to an addition week. Actually, he updated me on quite a bit of stuff that's going on with him. So now I'll tell you, you lucky dog.

Tonight he's in Virgina somewhere. Tomorrow, they drive to Atlanta for their last 'eastern' tour. So tomorrow, thanks to Steve Miller himself, the crew gets to play poker and drink all day on him! Steve Miller is paying for it all! I told Jeff that he better win some money!! So I thought that was super cool. I think Jeff is home for a week, starting Tuesday, and then he's off to Seattle and then California for two more shows. Then his Rusty Wallace thing starts up again. Then 10 months later, he goes back out on tour again. So it's a pretty cool deal for him. It's a super opportunity for him. And I'm 100% supporting him. It's pretty cool to tell people about too! :)

So in my life, I ended my 2nd summer at Mercury on Friday. I was alittle disappointed on people's reaction at Mercury... but I don't really want to talk about that. Sadie and I are going to do "Operation Payback" on Monday. Hopefully the security guards don't intervene. But they don't get off their asses for anything, so we should be ok. I think we have about 10 cars total that we need to 'take care of.' So we are meeting at 11:45 on Monday to get our supplies and then head to the Plant 3 & 15 parking lot.

Pretty much my summer is coming to a close. It was overall a great summer. Between camping with Jeff and his friends, moving into my own apartment, Summerfest, and Christie's visit, it was a success. I even got a little tan... naturally! I didn't have to fake bake like some people I know. When school starts, the entire month of September will be dedicated to getting my application for the School of Education ready. I have to submit my application and portfolio by the end of September. It should be a decent time getting my portfolio all together. I get to show alittle bit of my creative side. Which surprisingly, when it comes to crafts, scrapbooking, and stuff like that, I really enjoy doing that stuff. Plus, my stuff actually comes out semi-decent at times! Scary! I might actually have a talent. Tomorrow is Sawyer's (my little cousin) 3rd birthday party so I'm going to talk to my cousin Chrissy about what I should put into my portfolio. She's been a teacher for 10 years and she is working on her Masters to one day become a principal. I might actually have Jeff talk to his mom about what advice she has for portfolio, since she's a teacher as well.

Gosh, I really don't know anything else. I'm looking forward to the start of school. And everyday is one day closer to my 21st birthday. It's still quite far away, but I'm looking forward to it. Only 107 days to go! That way I can finally go out with Jeff, Mike and Lisa.

Speaking of Mike and Lisa, they were supposed to have alittle shindig tonight, but I guess they didn't get as far on their house as they wanted to. So it's rescheduled. Maybe next weekend. That would be nice since it's Labor Day weekend. And then Jeff would be home too. He has helped out a lot with Mike and Lisa so it would be nice if he was able to attend. Otherwise I would have to represent him! :) (Which I don't really mind either!)

Anyway, I think that's about all I know. I promise that once I'm back at school, I will update more. I'm ready to be back at my apartment!!! :) I love it so much! :) Ok, I'm done babbling now.

Over and out.
