I now have 61 dives!!! and am officially a divemaster. I'm very excited. I'm going to continue to dive until Tuesday, Tuesday night Bry is heading down and then i think we are heading to Key west. I think we will look around there for a day or two before heading back toward Philly. Anyway...
today's dives were to sand hole and winch hole. Sand hole isn't very exciting but a resort class was on the boat and they stopped there so they could get themselves set before heading to a spot with more breakable things living in it. I got to assist with the class I helped a 10 year old boy work on his bouncy. It was fun. On the way back, we where in the channel at this point, some alarms start going off, the boat was taking on water...Jerry , the mate, throws open the engine compartment and stumbles down in to the dark. I gave him my flash light from the night dive and we saw that a water line had come off the engine, I've seen it before but apparently Jerry never had. For safety reasons they pulled over and let all the customers off, I walked them the 3 blocks back to the shop. Mike was working the desk, he could see the boat wasn't in so he was quite perplexed. More so when i said we walked back. From the reef? he asked. It was funny. But everything turned out ok.
Well I wonder were I'm diving tomorrow. Now that its the weekend its harder to get on a boat, i''m glad i got my numbers in before the weekend.
