weekend...
Several times at the weekend I sat down with the intention of writing an update, given I was having a lazy weekend and there shouldn’t have been anything too urgently requiring my attention to prevent me from writing. However, each time I sat down, something else got my attention and writing an entry slipped from my mind until it was too late.
It’s going to be a lonely week this week -
torallionis likely to be busy in work again and
silver_fishis away on a camping holiday, so the emails that usually keep me entertained in between the Consent Orders and numerous phone calls chasing documents will be thin on the ground. However, I will spend some of my free time keeping my fingers crossed that the mechanic is able to get the replacement part for my car in the early half of this week and have the work done within the fortnight. As far as I’m aware he ordered the part on Friday, but I have no idea how long these things take, and even when the work is done the car then needs its MOT doing, so I think it’s going to be a close call in any event.
I’m quite stiff and sore today, have been since yesterday morning. On Saturday’s riding lesson, we did a lot of work in sitting-trot and because I’m not all that used to it, it jars all the muscles in my back. I could feel them twinge every time I stood up yesterday (which I took as a good reason to stay sat down at the computer or lying on my bed!). It’s not feeling much better today. I need a back-rub!
A couple of awkward bits of work are due to be tackled today - nothing difficult, just stuff that relies on other people communicating with me and giving me the information I need to do my part of the job. As usual, this information hasn’t been forthcoming so far, so I have to chase and chase it before I can get on. Currently the people I need to chase aren’t here though so I am going to get on with other things and keep an eye open for them…
