We're both in the same boat, babe...be it we're locked away in seperate isolated cabins. Atleast we both have our guitars and our music. Gives us strength.

I need to go down there and we can jam, and you can teach me stuff. I suck. Well, I only consider myself to be playing for 2 months now so I guess I don't suck for 2 months. :x

I've got a guitar problem. And I'm dumb, and I need your help. Okay, mg SG doesn't have a pick guard. She obviously doesn't have a scratch on her cause I treat her like a princess...but I would kinda like to invest in a pick guard. The thing is, she came with no screw holes. Do you, by chance, know the process of getting a pick guard and screwed and installed PROPERLY? I don't know if you can go to a shop and get it done...and I'm WAY to scared to do it myself. Even though I'm damn handy with a drill, you just dont do that. Should I take it down to the music shop? It's only been out of the house once, I'm so damned protective...and I don't trust any of the music shoppe guys here. Help! Almighty guitar

Hahaha yes I know what you mean. I treat my guitar so well. I don't even take it out of its case a lot. If i'm just doodling around practicing i use my old guitars. But when i do take my SG out about every other day i spend like 20 minutes cleaning it afterwards. I just gave her a lemon oil treatment for the neck and fresh strings and she is playing so damn good! :D ( ... )

lol, how?? lol...my shit ass Epiphone model doesn't come with a pickguard or screwholes. *looks for a picture* Just don't tell anyone I have an Epiphone. I want to keep the image that its a legit SG special >> lmao. Most people wouldn't know the diff, they wouldn't even notice the two missing knobs and the giant EPIPHONE sig....so it's all good. MWAHAHAHHA.

lol...shhhhhh don't tell :P

:P Ohhh rub it in, missy.

Ick. Teal. Grossy.

Yea, I dunno though...for the last year or two I swear I haven't seen that many LPs in like music videos n crap, and more frequently SGs. Now I seem to be seeing more LPs and less SGs. I dunno. Maybe I'm just being selective on what I'm watching! lol. I think SGs are the epitome of a girls' guitar. Nice slender neck [perfect for our small hands], freakishly light body [for our petit little bodies]...and the overall cuteness factor is above the charts [just like us]:P

lol...I swear its an addiction. It's an EXPENSIVE addiction. I mean, we're just talking guitars...not amps, pedals, funky wacko gizmo gadgets up the wazoo. Then HELL breaks loose if you're thinking about making your own personal recordings. DEAR GOD.

AH. *dies as a homeless girl living in the ditch with her bags and salvaged used dixie cups*

i kno... it's just not fair that music equiptment has to be so expensive. But when I think about it... about how much of a complex creation it is- all the precise measurements that make it possible to know what you're playing haha... I guess they are worth the money in the long run. I love my GIBSON (:p) Sg soooooooooooo much. It's the perfect guitar for me- I don't care about people who think they know about guitars telling me that I "should have got a les paul". If I really wanted one more than an SG, I would have saved up for another month or 2 and gotten one. End of story- the SG is my baby. It used to be all about the boys... now any guy i'm with gets scared off cuz I like guitars too much, and I pay more attention to my guitars than him. Hahah oh well.

How long have you had your SG? What kinda amp do you have and any effectS?

I have to say I would invest in a custom SG with nice body artwork, a black Les Paul with a white pickguard, and maybe, MAYBE, a fender strat (don't shoot me!)
