Precinct 13
I just finished watching Assault on Precinct 13. It reminded me of an incident in H.I. class last semester. I forget what the topic of discussion started out being on, but it went to the Detroit precincts & the fact that there is a Precinct 13. E. then mentioned having seen the movie. He knew the movie "took place at Precinct 13 in Detroit." He was surprised when he saw "woods" in the movie. He asked the instructor exactly how close the "woods" really were. I think the instructor hadn't yet seen the movie, but told E. there are no woods nearby. E. asked how & where it was filmed. I patiently explained to him that not only was the movie a remake, the original having taken place in L.A., but also that the current 1 was actually filmed in Canada-Toronto I believe, & that the woods were required for that particular scene. He started asking me questions about the movie I couldn't answer, b/c, as I told him, I hadn't yet seen the movie, but I had read all about in the newspapers.
