That's right -- as the subject says, Blogathon starts in less than 48 hours! Are you excited? Have a plan for what to talk about (or a plan to wing it)? Been getting support or are you struggling to find sponsors

This year I'm blogging for a UK children's cancer charity called CLIC Sargent, a charity who provide specialist care for sick children, with a particular emphasis on social care and family support, as well as support for those who have been bereaved. Of extra interest to me is that they have just opened a house in Nottingham, where I live, near the hospital for families to stay during treatment so they don't have to make long journeys back and forth.
I chose this charity for a rather odd reason, to be honest. Back on May 2nd this year I was wandering through my home city dressed as my all time favourite musician, as it was the anniversary of his death. I was approached by a representative of this charity in the street (who clearly picked on me because I was the brightest dressed person there!) who told me about the charity and asked me if I wanted to donate monthly to them. Oddly, hide, the musician, was a supporter of children's charities and I figured it'd be a nice way to honour him. :] So I started donating monthly to them, and this seems like a good addition to that. :D
As for what I'm doing during Blogathon... I have no plans, as usual, I'll try and do some related things, although most likely I'll resort to talking about something silly like bees coming through my chimney and frogs squeaking when being attacked by cats, as happened last year.
