This morning, my mouse appeared to have died, so I stopped at Yodobashi on the way home to get a new one. But the old mouse seems fine now, so I have a spare mouse. Oh well, I guess when this one really does give up the ghost, I'll be ready!
The memes, the memes...
Day 29 - What's the thing you [will] miss the most about Japan when you leave (either on vacation, or move away)?
When I go to places outside Asia, now, I miss having a convenience store (onigiri! kare-man! pizaman!) every few blocks, and many drink options in vending machines besides soft drinks.
When I move away from here, I'll miss tatami flooring. It's so comfortable! I like being able to lounge around on the floor, and it means I need so much less furniture, which means I have more floor space to spread things out on. I like the smell, too. I'll also miss the variety of food options in Tokyo; just walking through a department store food section is a sensory experience unlike any other.

Day 29 - Your aspirations
I aspire to use my talents to the best of my ability. I'm not gifted at anything, so I figure I should at least use what I've got, right? Good thing I've never cared about being the best at anything. XD; I hope to be a good friend, who can maintain friendships long term. I'd like to be a good teacher, the kind that students will remember fondly. I want to travel to many more places, to see as much of the beauty of the world as I can.
I aspire to follow through and reach my goals, even the small ones. This month, I've already reached my word count goal, which was 25,000. I'm nearly at 35,000!
