The Aristrocrats, nothing is sacred

Sep 27, 2005 09:38

Last night, I finally saw the Aristocrats. (The homepage loads slowly. Here's imdb's info. What can I say? Except that everything you've heard about this movie is true. Vile, inappropriate and politically-socially-racially-incorrect. I had a great time. I think the key is to allow yourself to laugh at absolutely absurd situations. Don't think to much over whether it's "appropriate" to be laughing at such an "inappropriate" situation. Just enjoy thumbing your nose at propriety.

The best endorsement I can offer is that one of my friends actually walked out. My friend who's laughed over Margaret Cho's lesbian fisting, Monique's unorthodox bedroom preferences and Chris Rock's uncensored racial tirades. This friend thought it was too much and had to leave! An almost-as-good endorsement is that the Liza Minelli version of the joke is hillarious. Seriously, I thought I would die.

In more serious news, I just heard that the St. Patrick's Four were acquitted of conspiracy charges, but found guilty of lesser charges, like trespassing and vandalism of government property. Excellent! When protesters are guilty of treason, it's time to move North to Canada.
