That's me! I guess I haven't really updated on here much... Kind of fell by the wayside - That and I don't think I have anyone on here that I still talk to. It's an old journal for old friends. I guess I'll post here a few times to see if anyone even reads these things anymore! LOL!
I guess an update from... Oh we'll say February.
March 1st, 2009... moved to Louisville KY. It's friggin cold.
June 4th, 2009... Got legally hitched. Actual wedding September 4th. I know it sounds weird, but it was mostly a financial decision. We couldn't afford the wedding and to live off base (you know, base living is practically free).
June 6th, 2009... Move on base, Love it. Love my townhome.
In between those times there was a lot of decorating, training of dogs (Zoey, more specifically), and job searching. I work at Best Buy, for now... I hate it. I'm too used to being upper management to be a retail bottom dweller. Not that I think that the base staff are bottom dwellers... It's just my lack of things to actually do make me feel kind of worthless. LOL. I have an interview next week with a company that I think will provide a much better challenge... At least they better for an hour commute!
Tor and I have gone over our career plan since the Army is going through a few changes and some job restructuring... Special Forces... We're going Special Forces. What does this mean exactly? It means Fort Bragg and then HOPEFULLY Fort Lewis in Washington. We really want to end up back in Washington. Either way, a lot of moving! I'm ok with moving, I get to live in places I probably wouldn't have gone to on my own. Hell, we were considering Fort Rucker Alabama for a while! Like I'd willingly go to Alabama without a good excuse?!
Hopefully I'll have my half sleeve done before we move. I have found a good and well recommended tattoo parlor here and I want them to do my half sleeve! It would be too much of a pain to get it half done and then have to find someone else to finish it.
Back on the Special Forces subject, but not about Special Forces per say... Tor and I are training to get into shape for Special Forces together ^_^. Granted.. He's got a lot less to go than I do. I may have lost 30lbs or so over the past year... But I have another 40-50lbs I want to lose... And probably will with all the running we're going to have to do. I am not more grateful than ever that I got my boobs chopped off.
I guess I'll go into a little bit of a furkid update too...
Nika... The intrepid corgi came with me instead of the parents during the grand ol' move. We've actually found a medicine alternative for her that makes her gain more weight! We're very excited about it, considering she has resembled an ethiopian child for most of her life.
Zoey... Our high-maintenance border collie! She's growing up nicely and despite chewing issues, she's turning into a good dog. She got spayed the other day and I think we ruined her good feeling on the vets. She was so excited when we went in that morning to see some of her favorite people and then when I picked her up she turbo'd it into sled dog mode and out the door we went... Good luck to me getting her to go back in there without being splattered in piss. On that note... She has a fear-piss problem. She was a slightly abused puppy before we got her so she has some issues. First they were men issues, but now she just pee's when she's scared. We've started working with her on building her confidence and everything... And I am thankful we have wood floors VS the carpet we had in the apartment we used to live in.
Olly, AKA Bunny... This is one for Tor. He wanted a damn rabbit, so we got the rabbit. Actually, she's really cool. She's litterbox trained and we let her run around the back yard with the dogs. It's always funny because we have two herding dogs and they tend to smack into each other when they're trying to herd her.
Either way, that is the extent of my updates... Y'all know how to get a hold of me on a basic level of communication. Adios from Fort Knox.
