The colors that have been showing around my house in the past few weeks:
1. (red) The strawberries are in their second wave of production. Recently they've been turning up quite small. I'm suspecting they don't like lack of water so much.
2. (red) Tomatoes are ripening! I got my first red cherry last week, my first yellow this week, and my first big red a couple days ago. I've been getting more at a couple a day so far. I predict they will ALL ripen perfectly in about two weeks, which is right in the middle of my vacation.
3, 4. (orange, yellow) I have lilies. I have a ton of lilies. I have way the heck too many lilies. They are pretty, but they need to go. I'm planning to be tearing out a bunch of the orange ones at some point this summer/fall. Would anybody like some? I will probably also have several of the
irises to give away.
5. (yellow) What is this one? I've got a few bushy bushes of it.
6. (green) I have apples. I have a metric buttload of apples. They fall daily. The vast majority of them look like they are worm or bug-eaten, but every so often, I find one that still looks grand. I wonder if there will be anything edible come fall?
7. (green) Mmmmm, tomatoes. Also on the topic of green, I have
onion. The rabbit didn't like them. Muahaha.
8, 9. (blue) Mmmmm, blueberries. I have three different varieties on three different bushes. No clue what they are, except yummy. Two of the three look to be pretty much done producing.
10. (purple) More purple. What's that?
11. Just because.
