I had a little time on my hands, so I decided to update my blog. Sounds a little like something Gilbert would do, doesn't it? I guess his habit rubbed off on me after a bit.
As you can see, I changed the layout of my blog to something a little easier on the eyes. I'd received several complaints about it, and I agreed that designing it like my flag was a better idea in theory than in practice. The new theme fits me just as well without hurting people's eyes, I'd say. Reminds me of my army days with Italy and Japan...
It's been kind of quiet around here. Well, that's kind of a lie- it's never quiet around here if my brother can have anything to say about it. Granted, the fact that he generally keeps to his room in the basement muffles the noise a bit, but the second he comes up here, he's chattering away. Half the time, he's singing that ice cream song again (you know, "Ice cream, ice cream, not Iceland, ice cream"?). Thankfully, he has yet to trip while singing that again. Although I do wish that he wouldn't just waltz off with the entire carton of ice cream. There's no way that can be healthy. I've kind of given up on stopping him, though.
I guess that's something I don't understand about blogs. What, exactly, is the purpose of griping in front of a worldwide audience? From here, all it sounds like is me complaining about my brother doing stupid things. Then again, I'm sure that he probably complains about me on his blog, too. On second thought, it's not like I can't just READ his blog and see! He has no viewing restrictions on it whatsoever! (Sounds a little desperate for SOMEONE in the world to give him attention, if you ask me.) And now I find myself wondering why we complain about each other on blogs that everyone is going to end up reading if we can just make the trip up or down the stairs and complain about each other TO each other WITHOUT other people having to know about our disputes. Whatever happened to privacy? Gilbert, of course, knows what I have to say about him, since I just tell him right away.
Maybe I'm just tired and cranky today...
