i just wanted to say that i RODE MY HORSE OUT IN THE BUSH today and WE SURVIVED. 1.5hr trail ride, with kelly from next door (not my kelli with benito), and karen on Al.
SO GOOD.
he was great going out but had a few thoroughbred moments coming home, including a LOT of head tossing. but if that's the worst, then that's fine.
sooo stoked. and no calmer or rescue remedy (for me) or working the shit out of him beforehand either. yeah.
and THEN i rode mouse in the arena & she was a lil porkchop but she also survived & she is really started to respond well to leg-outside rein. yay! she still has no 'go' tho, unless it's on her terms, which is ANNOYING.
