goodness me, what a debaucle
!!! i have such a naughty pony.
i drove out this afternoon for a ride after driving out this morning to get his toes done (that's 100km of driving, ppl!).
Beejay thought it would be great fun & games to slip under the electric 'gate' (as he's an escape artiste he also gets a regular metal gate... all the other horses just have this flimsy electrified-in-theory strand of either elastic or tape) & raise hell galloping about the countryside. i was on poo duty at the time & just watched him go - no WAY on earth i was about to sprint after him.
he raced down & tipped guinness's dinner over (which i'd laid out just outside of his paddock ready to feed him), then went from the gate, down to the back of the property and just all over. i didn't bother chasing after him to CATCH but i certainly got aggressive when he thought he'd sneak in to grab more of the food. i went down & got busy cleaning up the enormous mess he'd made of guinea's dinner.
well. beejay just pranced around making a right fool of everybody. he showed some truly magnificent, elevated trot & canter, complete with jumping a 6' spread of tree branches.
karen & michelle started to get narky & michelle yelled that he was "chopping up the limestone" so i knew i had to actually TRY to catch him this time. managed to direct him down the race back towards the back of the property. he doesn't like to go far from the other horses, so he turned quick & headed back (towards me) & looked ready to mow me down until i grew a foot and sent out a FUCKLOAD of energy which stopped him in his tracks. got to be a bit of a mind game until i invited him in to me (a la yoyo game) and he very meekly dropped his head, started licking & chewing and came right up to me.
we then spent the next 30mins with a rake fucking raking up all the divots & HOLES he had made in the lawn & limestone paths.
this was quite entertaining to me as he CLEARLY knew he was in trouble and he followed me very meekly. i kept him at about 2m from me & yoyo'd him back out of my space if he got too close. he was EXTREMELY contrite, if horses can be like that.
honestly, i was raking the whole fucking path. it was mad.
oooh, our pizza is ready, gotta go pick up. DOMINOES IS A FUCKING WASTE OF MONEY, btw.
