Catch up (with extra added naked titans)
As I said in my last post, I've been around, just not 'around'. Lurking here and there for the most part.
I've been totally amazed by roxymissrose's WIP East of the Sun
in SV fandom, which I finally caught up with when I had a few hours on Saturday.
SPN wise, I've adored Who do you say that I am?. Sam really is the demon Messiah. No wait! This one is actually good. And I say that as a theology graduate. You have to be very careful when such established religious concepts as chosen/anointed ones come into play. Personally I found this well written and not at all half assed when it comes to the thought behind it, which often can be the case (OMG, EVOL, LOLZ... *sigh*)
I've been horribly sucked into Doctor Who too. Torchwood was a hills and troughs kind of show, but until now I've never been very into it's mother series. However the Boyf is into the Doctor in a serious way, so I'm saving myself 6 months of wondering what the hell he's talking about by watching.
I've seen the odd ep before. Some bored me, some (like that ep with the freaking angel statues) scared the living shit out of me, but in general I enjoy it as a vehicle for science fiction stories. My favourite episodes don't involve much Doc + companion interraction (I'm sure if I was a bigger fan I'd jizz from every conversation). I'm just relieved I don't despise Catherine Tate as much as I expected to.
Was so let down by the most recent ep. The Doctor in Pompeii! Unfortunately the most enjoyable moment of the ep was the Mary Poppins ref. POSITIONS!!!!!!
Went shopping for comics this weekend. Teen Titans Year 1; #2 and #3 - AquaLad continues to crush on Robin (and who can blame him. It's Dick!)
and the whole point of Titans #1 seems to be to get as many titans as nekkid as possible.
Lets take the sans clothing role call;
Starfire = naked, traumatising prepubesants, disturbing many mouthed monsters and loving it.
Beastboy = All grown up. Working the Wolverine-esq mutton chops. Very nearly naked (he sheds his boxers as he transforms. Has he had to do that before when he was out of costume? I don't recall) I'm kinda feeling Gar right now. He always amused me, but over time I think I'm beginning to feel the green vibe. Hell, I've always loved blue people. I'd hate to discriminate against green.
The Flash (Wally) = nekkid in the shower, just getting ready for a family dinner, then........... OMFG! tentacle rape!
Methinks the userbase of deviantart have stormed DC and are holding them at gunpoint.
Ah, well. It's not like I'm not loving it.
