back safely
I just got back. I was out of the house for just over 13 hours, and I spent about three of those hours deep under the surface of Alabama.
It was pretty awesome. Among the highlights are:
-descending 80 feet into the Earth
-climbing 80 feet up just on a rope
-seeing 2 salamanders
-seeing a bunch of tiny bats (all asleep)
-imagining myself running a moonshine still/confederate supply depot from inside of a cave
-hanging out with Sara in a non-work environment. (she spoke more freely outside of the office)
-being in honest to god pitch blackness.
I'd write more, but I'm pretty tired so a bulleted list will have to do.
