Hello, hello! A belated Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. I spent it in Bulacan, with J and my family. I gave my mother a Strawberry Cream-scented lotion and body scrub that smelled so good I was, for a brief moment, tempted to just keep them and give her a blender instead.

Saturday to Tuesday in Bulacan. Ah, what bliss. I missed staying home. Stay home and just read a book or watch a movie and wait for my mother to call up the stairs: "What would you like to have for dinner?" I feel like a child again! One who can ask someone else to do her laundry!

• My mother's been having health problems. Fatty liver, kidney stones (one with a diameter of one centimeter), and she's also pre-diabetic. I'm flabbergasted. My mother doesn't even eat fast food. I said, I eat all sorts of things, and I'm fine. She said, "Bata ka pa." (You're still young.) I won't be, for long. I really need to start eating right. ( Read more... )

Friday! Early lunch at Army Navy and Frutti Froyo c/o Jaykie and family. Burned calories in badminton (where I thought I would win against J, and then didn't). Off to the mall to buy stuff for the boyfriend, puttanesca and pizza at Sbarro, then home. Got drunk on House (Season 5 and some of S6) and Pretty Little Liars. Slept. A lot.

I told my father not to buy firecrackers anymore for very obvious reasons, and I was glad he followed my order advice. The paper was put to bed early so I was able to take the office shuttle to Cubao and get on a bus by 6:30 p.m. When I reached home (8:30 or so) some house was blasting the neighborhood with ear-splitting music. 1. It rained on my birthday. No surprise there. I was told, repeatedly, to lose weight. No surprise there, either, but I was surprised by the intensity. I ate cake, but it saddened me.
