(no subject)
O-week this week! I'm so excited, it won't have the awkwardness of Sem1's O-week but there's still heaps of new people to meet. Yays. I cant wait for Wednesday night in particular, the Rocks pub crawl, the bars there are so fun. One is a German bar (I think - the Lowenbrau), and all the staff are dressed in national costumes and they serve pints and stines (sp?) of beer. So much fun. I love Sydney.
So Penmah went home yesterday after a week of sleeping on my floor and doing the tourist-y thing with me. It was fun, but the whole Pope Week shebang got tired really quickly. There were so many pilgrims everywhere, and they would spontaneously burst into song and dance and chanting and clapping in the most random places!! And one nearly took my eye out with the end of their flagpole, haha. I guess it would have been a lot of fun for them, but just quietly I'm glad they're all leaving now. No more road closures, yay!
