Jess (flatmate) and I watched 'Closer' the other night - I saw it a few years back with my parents (which was a little awkward at the time due to the course nature of some of the content) and have been craving to see it again for the last year. Anyway, I can't get over the first scene, where Natalie Portman and Jude Law are walking through a busy London street (heading towards one another), and they spot each other from afar and they can't take tear their eyes away (and this is enhanced by the fact that the song in the background - The Blower's Daughter - keeps repeating 'I can't take my eyes off you'). It's the most gorgeous scene and oh-so sweet and romantic. So now whenever Jess or I walk down the street we mentally play that song in our head and try to catch and keep the eye of any desireable man coming the other way. Haha. It's harder than it looks!! I have probably freaked out half the male population of Sydney now by staring them down, oh well.
In other news...Journalism assignment 2 sucks. Grr. I think I'm far too soft-hearted to be a hardcore reporter. Yet another profession to cross off my list (along with frog expert, professional gymnast, opera singer, any type of singer for that matter...it's really being whittled down. Running out of options. Help?)
