I are nerd.
I am a self professed, spaceship fantasizing, comic book reading, heavy metal hobbit loving nerd and damned proud of it. I have many friends (some close, some mere acquaintances) on LJ from bham who fit into one (and some of them several) of the aforementioned nerd categories- almost all of whom are attending DragonCon. An annual grand gathering of geek in Atlanta, I have wanted to attend since my friends in the band DC Moon and his Atomic Supermen had a chance to play at the convention back in 97. The desire is greater more so this year than ever, as the list of birmingham livejournal people has grown yet again, and I find myself bombarded with posts from people who have built costumes and planned their weekend trip months in advance.
But... but... its the start of college football season! There is no way I'm missing Saban's debut.
Someone in attendance, please tell the conference planners that blipangel says they need to move the dates up to better accommodate my schedule. Everyone have fun at DragonCon. Roll Tide! Long weekend! WOOOOO!
This coming Wednesday is Chelsea and my 3rd year anniversary. We've been together 8 1/2 years now... and she continues to tolerate me! Go my team!
