Nothing exists until or unless it is observed. An artist is making something exist by observing it. And his hope for other people is that they will also make it exist by observing it. I call it "creative observation." Creative viewing.

L. Viki: *she waits outside the barn, calmly having a staring contest with a horse while carrying a crayon case in her other hand*

Sasuke: *anxiously fidgetting and wondering how he got into this in the first place, he cautiously approaches the barn, wondering if he should back out or not -- but no! Real ninjas don't back out! They just... don't participate* ... Hm... *spotting Viki, his heart skips a beat, like in one of those awesome drama shows. He's carrying a small bag with him, filled with art supplies* Viki...??

L. Viki: *hearing that familiar voice, she gives the poor animal a break and stops staring at it* Yes..? *she turns slowly to the boy, her expression remaining the same* Sasuke? Are you.. the one?

Sasuke: The.. the one...??? *he blushes, feeling a little silly being caught out for this blind dating thing -- but then again, if she knew, then...* A-ah. Y-you mean, with that pirate and...?? You're participating? *a little relieved but at the same time even more wound up now*

L. Viki: Indeed I am, for personal reasons. *she seems a little disappointed that it's not someone she can manipulate, but is also a little happy that it's not a creep she has to spend the day with* Although, I am not certain what exactly makes this a blind date.

Sasuke: W-who knows how a pirate thinks. *shifts uncomfortably, and feels a little rejected D:* U-uh. Do you have everything you need? You probably shouldn't waste your time here, s-so... *gaze flickers to her crayon case*

L. Viki: No, I could not ask for better company. *she smiles a little while self-consciously hiding her crayon case behind her, after noticing Sasuke's attention to it* Unless you have somewhere better to be.

Sasuke: N-no! Nowhere, really. *he sheepishly looks at the ground in front of him, noticing her action in response to his own* Y-yeah, I've got my stuff, too. *awkwardly holds his bag of art supplies up, before tilting his head to look inside the barn* I guess we... make ourselves comfortable?

L. Viki: *she raises an eyebrow as she looks at his supplies* I see... *thinks that Sasuke looks like such a professional compared to her* Um... there are stools and art pads over there... *points at them* Shall we begin?

Sasuke: Sure. *smiles a little and approaches one of the stools, gently laying down his supplies next to the pad before picking it up along with a pencil* Uh... L-ladies first. *he waits for her to sit down before him, still shifting uncomfortably*

L. Viki: *smiles* Thank you, Sasuke. *...but she's too little to climb on the damn thing, and after several attempts she gives up in silent frustration* Excuse me. *she instantly teleports herself on top of it, feeling a little flustered* ...

Sasuke: *he smiles more openly now, glad that he's not the only one embarassed anymore. Taking his own seat, he relaxes more* If you need any help... Just tell me, alright? *he's doing a good job of pretending what just happened was completely normal -- but then again, this kid's only friend is a frog, so...*

L. Viki: I will be fine, thank you. However, I should let you know that art is not one of my finest talents... so please do not laugh when I am finished. *she opens her crayon case and stares at Sasuke, trying to figure out which part she should begin drawing from*

Sasuke: It's okay -- I mean, art really isn't a part of what I do, anyway. *awkwardly, he starts pencilling down some fine lines, trying not to become awkward about studying her so carefully* In the end, we may get to laugh at eachother's, maybe.

L. Viki: *she starts off with a purple crayon, not liking the idea of feeling a little insuperior* ...Hm, so you say. After all, we could be doing something worse, as Sir Hervey said.

Sasuke: ... *kind of shudders to think about that, but thinks he'll go scout out what other people are doing nevertheless* He's pretty twisted. *casually sketches a little more, studying the way her eyes are* Y-youhaveniceeyes. *randomly blurts out*

L. Viki: Do you really think so? *she averts her eyes to her painting, mostly out of modesty* I think people are scared of them sometimes. *colours something with a black crayon*

Sasuke: They're intense, and I guess... w-when you look at someone, it feels like all your attention is on them. *doesn't really know what he's going on about, so quickly buries his face back in the art pad, beginning to color in with white watercolor pencils*

L. Viki: That is because I do pay attention to them... Is that how you feel, Sasuke? You like my eyes, and yet you feel uncomfortable when they are focused on you? *she stares at him while waiting for an answer*

Sasuke: *he looks back up at her, and nervous under her gaze he looks away again, pretending to color in still* Sometimes. I-I mean, with my occupation... I guess I'm uncomfortable being looked at at all. *frowns to himself, thinking that was a really lame excuse* -- H-how is your drawing coming along?

L. Viki: *she smiles a little with her hands on her lap* I have finished a while ago. How about yours?

Sasuke: *BLUSHES and puts his pencil down in a hurry* A-ah, I -- um -- finished, too! *quickly looks at his picture awkwardly and sits up straigher for some reason*

L. Viki: Are you sure? *tilts head* I can sit still for a little longer if you need me to. I can even look away.

Sasuke: No! Really! *he looks more satisfied and composed now* -- U-uh. So we... we show eachother now? *a bit anxious, actually*

L. Viki: I suppose so. *she hops off the stool while holding her picture close to her chest, so no one can peek D:* Would you like to show yours first?

Sasuke: Umm... *stands up and hesitantly looks at his again* ... I... I guess, sure. *awkwardly turns the artpad around to let Viki see, looking away 'cause it's embarassing*

L. Viki: *she looks really surprised, amazed even, despite it not being so finished XPP* That looks marvelous, Sasuke. You truly are talented. *she looks at him, really impressed*

Sasuke: *blushes like mad, shaking his head quickly* N-no. It's nothing special. I-I mean. *blushhh* It doesn't do you justice. *cliche DDD:*

L. Viki: *blushes faintly as she looks away, and replies in an almost argumentative tone* I think it's nice.

Sasuke: Oh. *doesn't know what to say, and smiles* If you think it's nice then -- I mean -- you can keep it -- or -- not -- and I did try my hardest -- but -- um. *fails*

L. Viki: I was going to ask you anyway... Yes, I would like to keep it. Perhaps I can learn from it.

Sasuke: I-I'm sure yours is fine. *smiles and tilts his head, but holds out the drawing to her anyway* Here.

L. Viki: *gladly takes it, feeling like she just won an argument* Well, I tried my hardest, too... *reluctantly hands him her drawing*

Sasuke: .. W-wow... *... okay, ultimately? speechless*

L. Viki: *unfazed by his response, as she knew it was coming* While I may appear talented in many areas of study... I guess when it comes to the art department, I truly have the mind of a seven-year old.

Sasuke: *relieved that she isn't going to teleport him elsewhere and actually laughs like a normal 14 year old* W-well... we all have our weak spots, right? *grins* At least yours is in a department that you don't need.

L. Viki: Precisely. *still remaining serious* My purpose was meant for something different.

Sasuke: *catches himself and looks upwards, quickly sobering again* Y-yeah. That's right. *awkwardly looks at her, frowning* Can I keep the picture anyway?

L. Viki: *a little surprised that he wants to keep it* If you wish. We can call it a fair trade. But if you are only doing this to be nice, then you have nothing to worry about. I will not do anything to you.

Sasuke: No... *shakes his head* I'm not the kind of person who wastes time on pleasantries unless I feel they're deserved. I'm not afraid -- I mean, I've been teleported into the future. What else could happen? *shrugs, a blank expression on his face again*

L. Viki: I see... in that case, feel free to frame it. *crap humour D:* Thank you for the date, Sasuke. It was a pleasant experience. *she politely offers her hand as she looks up at him*

Sasuke: *looks at her hand awkwardly and his mind is in overdrive about what to do* Ah, y-yeah. I mean, pleasure's all mine -- or -- that -- *awkwardly leans down and gives her hand a quick, hesitant kiss, blushing like mad*

L. Viki: Huh? *feeling somewhat embarrassed, as she was just going for a handshake* Um... thank you.....

Sasuke: ... *and then quickly shakes her hand 'cause that was really embarassing* Y-yeah. S-sorry. That. Um. H-have a good day, okay?

L. Viki: *still a little disoriented by that* Y-you, too... ... ...?

Sasuke: Th-thanks. *quickly takes a step back and gathers his stuff, not really sure what to say now 'cause that was so dumb of him T_T* U-uhm. B-bye! *RUNS*

L. Viki: *feels like she should stop him but it's probably better for his sake if she doesn't* ... What just happened?
