*22. March*
Three days had passed. HeeChul was lying on the ground which was covered with blankets. There was not much room. Most of the students had no place to return to, so the police had needed to find a big place to stay for all these people. They had found a big celebration room. Everyone had to sleep on the ground though, and so, it was all covered with blankets.
HeeChul sighed as he looked out. He stood up and left the building. Many of the other students were still asleep. It was early in the morning. The sun was just about to rise.
HeeChul had missed SiWon terribly all these days. He still missed him. His boyfriend hadn't been with all the other students. He was still missing.
When HeeChul opened the door and left the building, he heard voices talking. Voices of two policemen.
He immediately stopped to listen carefully. Maybe, they knew something about SiWon. HeeChul needed to find out.
"There is still no hint where he is."
"After talking with some students, there seem to be still some students missing."
"If they haven't hid with Mr. Lee, they must have escaped."
"I hope for the last, of course, but I think it's difficult to say a statement now. We need to get back there though. Our boss said tomorrow would be the best time."
HeeChul heard their voices fading. They were probably walking away. The student wasn't able to follow, so he just turned around and looked for a nice place to sit down in the grass.
Someone patted his shoulder encouragingly and HeeChul spun around in shock, but as soon as he recognized the person, he breathed out in relief.
DongHae chuckled. "So? How are you? At least better than there, right?" he asked.
HeeChul's breathing calmed down and he nodded.
DongHae smiled and sat down next to him.
"Do you know what has even happened? I mean, how was the police able to get in and find us?" HeeChul wanted to know.
DongHae sighed sadly. "I told them about it as soon as I had escaped," he explained.
"Oh..."
They looked away from each other, both thinking deeply about what had happened.
"Hae?" HeeChul called slowly after another long silence.
"HeeChul?" DongHae turned to look at his friend.
HeeChul looked away before he reluctantly started. "Thank you," he whispered and DongHae smiled in contentment.
"Are you fine...for now?" he asked.
HeeChul forced a small smile on his face and nodded.
Suddenly, he got an idea. His eyes were shining as his forced smile turned into a true, hopeful one.
DongHae realized the change in his friend's mood immediately. He eyed HeeChul suspiciously, but didn't say anything in case HeeChul had a bad idea and DongHae needed to stop him from that and thus make him even more unhappy, because DongHae knew as well that SiWon was still missing and according to HeeChul's depressed mood these days, he seemed to miss him badly.
DongHae just laid down on his back instead and stared at the sky with a sad smile. Remembering SiWon and seeing HeeChul like this reminded him of himself. He was missing HyukJae, too. He wished he could see him once again, but this just wasn't possible.
HeeChul suddenly jumped to his feet, this mysterious smile still plastered on his face.
DongHae turned his head a little to look at him.
"I'm leaving. You can stay here for a bit more. I'll tell a policeman if they are looking for you," HeeChul announced quickly before sprinting away.
DongHae looked after him with worry, but decided to force himself to relax instead for now. HeeChul was old enough to take care of himself, right?
