*19. March*

"He hasn't talked yet," a man, dressed in a white lab coat, said. "He hasn't even reacted to anything."

A man, dressed in black, nodded. HeeChul realized it was Mr. Lee, as he peered up at the two people in front of his cell.

"Should I make him talk?" the man, who had already made the experiments with HeeChul before, asked.

Mr. Lee nodded and left.

The man in white took a look at the student, who was sitting, leant against the wall with his head down.

Another man, dressed in black again, entered the room. "Sir, what about the other boy?" he asked.

HeeChul's eyes widened, but he didn't dare to look up. He knew they were talking about SiWon. Had they found SiWon by now?

"He wasn't found. Might have died," the other one said.

HeeChul forced himself to stay calm. So they hadn't found SiWon. He was still alive. Hope filled HeeChul. It made him at least a little bit relieved. Because he hadn't been serious. He hadn't meant to say that. He didn't hate SiWon at all. He still loved him. And he regreted what he had said that day when they had fought. But now, it was way too late. He was left alone. SiWon was alone as well, but he was safe. He wouldn't get killed. HeeChul was sure of it. He wanted to be sure of it, at least.

He just made himself believe that SiWon was going to survive.

"What about him?"

"One last experiment, but I guess, the drug might be too hard. His body won't be able to take it. He will die," the man with the lab coat answered.

HeeChul's heart sank. He had been right.

"What if he survives?"

"The boss said to kill him anyway."

HeeChul pressed his quivering lips together. He wasn't even shocked. He had expected this.

"Sir, might I ask something?" the man in black asked.

The other one nodded. "Go ahead," he said, putting his hands on his back while watching the cell in which HeeChul was in.

They didn't even care about HeeChul. Because he was going to die soon, there was no need to go to another place to talk. HeeChul had already heard that someone was made to look over him anyway, so he couldn't be left alone.

"What about all the missing students?"

The man from the lab hesitated. "Mr. Lee has sent more than thirty men after them."

"More than thirty?!"

"Yes. By the way, maybe we should start the list and register them already," it was suggested and the man in black agreed.

HeeChul was listening the whole time. He wondered what was going on. Some students were missing? Maybe they escaped. Maybe DongHae was one of them.

HeeChul saw them sit down on a desk in front of the cell. The man with black clothes pulled out a list and read one name after another.

HeeChul's head shot up when one certain name was said. "Lee DongHae."

"Alright, number 0756."

"Kim YoungWoon."

"Number 0757."

They continued to go through the list and give these students a number as they were going to be used in the lab as soon as they would return.

HeeChul's heart was racing. DongHae had been able to escape. Along with KangIn. SiWon had told HeeChul once that KangIn's real name was YoungWoon.

So they both were safe right now.

HeeChul looked down once again, but this time with a small, relieved smile on his lips. He would be happy if SiWon was able to escape as well. Then, HeeChul thought, he could die in peace.

HeeChul's smile disappeared at the thought of SiWon.

The older one was regretting everything he had done. He hated himself for having said these things. He loved SiWon too much. He would never be able to hate him. He missed him already and the thought of never seeing him again made him even sadder, but he had to bear the pain in his heart.

Memories flooded his mind. Memories of him and SiWon together. They had loved each other so much, but they probably weren't meant to be. Their relationship, their experiences, their lives, their time together, it all had helped tearing them apart and destroying them.

Destroying HeeChul.

The older one wondered how SiWon was feeling about them. If he still liked him. If he was hurting. If he was sad. If he was mad.

HeeChul remembered SiWon's lips on his own. One of his fingers made his way up to HeeChul's face to touch his lips. They were cold.

HeeChul quickly pulled his hand back. He looked at his finger. How much he missed the other one. He still loved SiWon so much. They had become best friends. They had become lovers. SiWon was everything for HeeChul.

He wondered if it was the other way around as well. Or if it had been like that.

Because SiWon had told HeeChul that DongHae was his best friend.

HeeChul wanted to cry. But he didn't. It was too late to change anything right now anyway. Everything was over. He had lost. No way out. Nothing. Just blackness awaiting. Death awaiting.

HeeChul sighed quietly. Sadly. He shuddered at that thought.

He was surprised about himself for thinking all these thoughts right now. He would have never said all these things out loud. But now, he wouldn't even be able to regret his actions and thoughts for long anymore.
