I just had the best weekend I've had in almost a year.
I sure did.
After I got out of work on Saturday at 8:30, I ran home and took a shower, got dressed, and drove down to meet my friend Caroline at her party in North Andover. Considering I didn't know anybody there, I had a blast. The kids I was hanging out with (including Caroline) and I went to bed at 3 or so outside in tents. They then woke up at about 6 or 7 (well, everyone else did) and they were all gone by 8. That's wayyyy too early and not enough sleep. I probably got less than 2 hours of sleep.
I drove into Worcester on Sunday morning and got there around noon and met up with Bridget. Unforunately, I was way too tired to do anything. We ended up getting noms at Bageltime (which I love) and walking around Elm Park, which was fun. While on our way back, we decided to go to Whole Foods to get dinner fixings, etc. I feel asleep on the way there. Passed out more like it.
Bridget thought I was unhappy most of the time because I was so fucking tired. I need to get more sleep apparently. After she got home and while she was making dinner, I passed out on her bed and was startled awake when she said it was ready. Didn't even feel like I had fallen asleep. THEN we starting watching The Royal Tenenbaums (which I really liked) but half way through Bridget was all like, "LET'S GET SOME MOTHERFUCKING ICE CREAM" and I was like, "FUCK YES OMG LET'S GO." So we got ice cream. It was yummy.
After going BACK to her appartment we finished the movie and soon went to sleep. I was really out of it, even while sleeping, but slept for a long while, which was great. I woke up just before 10 and got back in my car shortly there after to go to Boston. Even though I didn't follow my directions, I managed to find the Pike all by myself so I was pleased. HOWEVER, even though I followed my directions, I couldn't find the Malden T station so I ended up parking at Wellington, which is a stop further in. I got to North Station well before noon, and met up with Amy about 15 past.
We ended up getting off the T at Park, and walked to Newbury. We went into a few shops. I almost lost my camera because I'm a noob. BUT I was introduced to Starbuck's chai. I got it iced. It was delish.
It was a great break from everything back at home: just walking around Boston, hanging out, and taking pictures. After Amy left to catch her commuter rail, I waited and met up with my brother and then waited some more to meet up with his girlfriend too. THEN we wandered around Chinatown until we found our hole in the wall of choice, where I got some excellent veggie Chinese noms. After walking to North End (where they live) I got some awesome motherfucking gelato and it was SCRUMPTIOUS. Om nom nom.
Then I drove home.
This is what I really needed.
