Day 1
Hey everyone out there. Well I arrived safely at The Seeing Eye Yesterday Me and Bob got picked upfrom the airport at the same time and we wer the very last two peopl to arrive at the school. We arrived when most people had already finished eating dinner so we ate dinner a very nice turkey and stuffing with gravy on top yum yum. Then we had a meeting in the common lounge introducing everyone and going over the rules and what would happen for the next day and stuff like that. Then after that I got an orentation to the building and then got to go on a juno walk. For those of you who don't know what a juno walk is that is a walk with the trainer with them holding the harness as if they were the dog so they can get a feel for how you walk as far as spped and reaction to the harness as well as what type of pull you might be looking for. Then after all that was done I was ready for bed so that brings us to today. I Slept through the morning wake up call never even heard it the very first thing I heard was "breakfast time everyone to the dining room it's breakfast time." For breakfast I had a cheese omelet and a english muffing with some orange juice. After Breakfast we went to the downtown lounge and took turns doing juno walks in the pouring rain needless to say we all got soaked. Then we had another meeting in the lounge talking about what it will be like for us to get our dogs tomorrow ans stuff oh yeah last night at the meeting I got my leash and my MP3 player. After todays meeting we went to lunch where I had sliced beef and roasted potatoes with gravy on the beeef very nice. and then we got to play with some dogs doing some basic obediance and learning some new commands. Unfortunately they had to send the dogs back they vwere very nice one german shepherd a golden retriver a yellow lab retriever cross and a black lab. Once the puppies were gone we used a stuffed dog to practice putting on the gentle leader as well as the harness. Now it is just some down time till dinner. I wonder what we're having! Then tonight we have another meeting where will get some more equipment and then we will be having a wine and cheese social get together. I am having a great time and learning a lot I will write again soon. Cuz tomorrow I get my dog yeppee. Later.
