Update time!
Sooo.....it's been a while since I've posted anything. Figured I should get back on the bandwagon=)
To update the world...
1) I have a concert tomorrow night (aka Thursday...and don't get technical w/me on dates...) where I'm conducting a piece. Simple enough...but part of me is scared, and part of me doesn't care at all. Part of me doesn't even have time to enjoy it! (More on that coming up...) In any case...it will happen...wish me luck! (for the Lafayette people...it's at 6 pm, so I figured it'd hard to nigh impossible to make. Don't be mad that I didn't spread the word out: I'll let ya know when my big concert is.
2) THEN we have a concert next Tues, Apr. 28th, at 7:30 (I think...?). It's a Haydn Mass...and it's a lot of fun. But we're singing in Austrio-German Latin. AKA that means a bunch of spread vowels. Anywho...it's interesting, and kinda fun to try something new.
3) I ALSO have a presentation on Monday on Romantic Choral Church Music of Russia...which is VERY interesting...if I can actually define the D*** time period. All of my sources refuse to actually define the changing time period, thereby making organization a big problem. Thanks a lot. It doesn't help that MOST of the musical interest was in Opera...so ALL the historical books of Russia are about Opera...and not about the Church. Figures. Wish me luck on that one, too.
4) The WAVE of Dynasty Warriors goodness has just started...with DW: Gundam 2. I HOPE it doesn't suck...b/c I'd like a fun version of that game that I actually want to play. There are some Gundams I know...so hopefully it'll not be in vain. THEN comes Strikeforce, then DW6: Empires 2 months later. It's gonna be AWESOME!
5) There are a LOT of rumors about Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 being released onto PSN and XBox Live. It seems pretty solid at this point. WITH ONLINE PLAY!
I. Might. Just. Die. (Holy crap awesomeness!)
6) I got another Cosplay idea (for the Street FIghter thought, Cat...) How about Gen? That way I can be "Old guy"...and it'd be fun to try and work out the "oldness" factor=). 7) I have a LOOOOOOOOT of work to do in a short span of time. It's gonna be pretty ugly, so pray for me a little bit, k? Once finals week hits it'll be ALL gravy...but I have to make it that far=)
8) I'm apparently getting some kind of award from the SOM Awards Ceremony (hence the e-mail they sent me: "You are getting an award. YOU SHOULD GO." Suttle, huh?). It's tomorrow RIGHT after rehearsal. Guess we'll see what it is then...
9)I also get to judge solo-and-ensemble singers on Saturday! This is for the university's Vocal Competition...I did this in High School. AND NOW I'm on the other side...it's way creepy, but WAY awesome. I am STOKED for this!
10) I need to go to the store and get more Lemon Pledge...no.... (Just because I can)
On another note...we need to plan post-semester goodness! I think we've all decided (we being the BR people...=) that we need to do stuff in Lafayette more. SOOO we'll plan on that. We're gonna need to plan Cosplay, B-Day Parties (Laura and Megan!) and just post-semester awesomeness in general. Note: Talk to Cat and Katie...they're going out of town on weird days for vacations, and I'm doing summer school starting June 8th. We'll have to do it in between.
