One of the benefits of being a bird meant faster healing time. Iggy's wing had healed the week prior, but he'd been doing small exercises before attempting flight after he'd unwrapped the bandages Zhane had been kind enough to put on them

Well, Zhane was just out grumping, actually - he's been harassed by some medieval nut, guilted for being honest about his feelings, and his best friend's been a bit weird about things, and.... yeah.

So there's a silver ranger kicking some snow along the path, looking to get a bit of peace, actually.

He'll spot Iggy up in the tree, though, and...

"... Iggy? What the heck are you doing up there?"

Iggy doesn't think twice about his reply.

"I forgot to fly south for the winter and now I'm stuck."

That calls a chuckle from Zhane - he does enjoy quipping with his friend.

“Right,” he calls, “brilliant. Mind if I come up there with you? I’m trying to avoid a particularly annoying knight.”

The Silver Ranger could do with a little bit of companionable solitude, actually.

Iggy blinks, then snorts a laugh, shifting over on the tree branch. "Sure, you can come up. Why are you being chased by a knight again? What did I miss?"

"I'll tell you when I'm not yelling it," Zhane replies - and then (thankfully he has good gloves, because it was winter, last time we checked), he'll proceed to come up.

It's a fairly straightforward process: the ranger is well trained.

When Zhane is settled beside him, Iggy tilts his head down towards him and smirks a bit. "So ...? You pissed off a knight?"

Zhane smirks. "Apparently. I had no idea Wendla had someone like that she could sic on me. Not that it would have changed anything, though."

"See, I always just assume that girls have bodyguards. Keeps me from having to deal with knights." Iggy leans back a bit and tilts his head up.

"So... are you in actual trouble or is this all bluff and bluster?"

“Warren got hurt,” Zhane says, frowning. “Genie’s barely recovered, she’s seething and won’t talk to me anymore.”

And stuff is getting weird with Neville.

"What happened? Did they get hurt in the quake? I'm a bit lost here man."

[zhany_silver]

Zhane rubs his face, sighs.

"Sorry, let me try again. Genie got hurt in the quake, Neville healed her. Then there was this party, and I swear to you, I hae no idea how I got there, but I told Wendla to go read a book. She must have whined a several people because I got a talking to from Cap' Harkness the same night. Anyway. After that, this knight started to harass me about Wendla's honor. Warren tried to help, he got hurt."

Pause.

"Better?"

"Better in that I know what you're talking about, sure." Icarus frowns. "If you're going to break up with someone, try to be a bit more polite about it? And come to me. I've got some experience with knights."

Kind of.

"So is he still after you?"

“Hey, I tried, she wouldn't accept it and got clingy!” he replies defensively.

Zhane goes on to answer the question with, “Anyway, about the knight, I'm not sure. He tried several times - I think I, er, I lost patience and, er, yes.”

Punched his face in front of what looked like maybe his wife and kid. Ooops.

"You did something rash and kind of dumb," Iggy supplies.

"So ... exactly how much trouble are you in? Is this the kind of trouble that can be solved by an apology? Or is this something where someone has to bleed?"

“Seriously,” Zhane replies, “it should be neither. I'm allowed to feel how I feel. If Wendla can't move on, it's her problem. And that dude should really mind his own business. I mean, Warren got hurt.”

He's actually very angry - but it's all contained.
