what the???? sighs i'm doing my sociology reading and am pretty confused. every time i think i undersand what they are talking about i get confused again... i'm glad i can ask questions! i think i get the vague meaning... but i want to be sure

i'll put an exherpt at the bottom for anyone interested

on a whole school is going ok. i'm only taking 3 courses in hopes of boosting my gpa... i really need to boost it... badly.

anyways so i'm taking introduction to therapudic rec, self and society and encountering world religions. i have some interest in all of them so that will help. i am avoiding psychology until i can boost my gpa. i may drop it but i'm not sure. i'm also debating doing a specialization in human relations instead of a minor. i'm going to have to be in concordia for two years anyways since: a, my gpa needs to be much higher, and b, the program i want doesn't start in january..... on a whole things should be ok. i'm glad i have my tape recorder though because 2 classes don't have powerpoint slides!

in terms of my caugh i'm following directions. i'm drinking a lot of fluids and i'm making a huge batch of chicken soup to live off of for a few days. after that - and after i finish my reading, i'll go to the clinic before leaving for class.

exherpt

When we see any thing to be in any place in any instant of time, we are sure, (be it what it will) that it is, that very thing, and not another, which at that same time exists in anothe~-place, how like
io and undistinguishable soever it may be in all othei-respects: And in this consists Identity, when the ideas it is attributed to vary not at all from what they were that moment, wherein we consider their former existence, and to which we compare the present. For we never finding, nor conceiving it possible, that two things of the
r 5 same kind should exist in the same place at the same time, we rightly conclude, that whatever exists any where at any time, excludes all of the same kind, and is there it self alone.
