HERE'S SOME IMPORTANT THINGS:
1. yesterday was Harry Potter day. :'D I'M SCREAMING FOREVER, OKAY. i'm sad i didn't get to go with my usual gang, but opening night was so fun. everybody was in such a good mood, chillin' out with their blankets and their laptops and their awesome cosplays. (saw an awesome Lucius, sdflk;jfglf.) the random shouting and applauding did get on your nerves after an hour or so, especially when it happened during the movie, but IT WAS THE LAST FREAKIN' POTTER MOVIE. i can let it slide. same for the insane sleep dep, since i didn't get home until around 4 am.
everything was just. so Harry Potter. i'm going to miss it so much. the movie really did its best to rock the book material, and it succeeded for the most part! and by that, i mean THAT FUCKING EPILOGUE. YOU WILL HAUNT ME FOREVER WITH YOUR SHITTINESS. other than that, it was good. *__* the special effects are amazing. when it comes out on DVD, i'm going to have to marathon everything, books and movies.
2. my laptop Shiba is broken. this is important if you happen to be curious why i haven't posted for, like... two and a half months. FFFFF I HAVEN'T ABANDONED LJ IN THE SLIGHTEST, i've just spent 90% of that time working with my rp journals. every time i had something to say, i added to this random collection of news i've been building up since May. I JUST NEVER GOT AROUND TO POSTING IT HERE, and it was saved on Shiba, so now that he's being a douche i can't get to it.
so really, my return post is just telling you that i can't post my return post. :|
ANYWAY, Shock was clearly a fortuitous purchase now that i'm having more computer problems. according to the internet, it actually seems like a fairly prevalent problem--getting stuck in an infinite reboot loop after installing certain updates--but the problem is, i can't just wipe it without deleting all my stuff. and i haven't backed up in a while. ;__; if i take it in to get them to copy my data and fix it at the same time, they're going to charge me $300, WHICH IS OBSCENE, but i don't have much of a choice. so i'm just depressed about losing that much money, since otherwise it seems like Shiba's fine.
