Ee gads so much has happened since I last posted. I need to update more often. Riiight so where do I start...
- Anton's birthday went really well, except that we lost Nottingham and gave up and went to Leicester instead XD But I got an engraver (which still hasn't been on a test run, boo) so it worked out well in the end. And now he is 21 which means in six months I will also be 21 and that's flippin' scary.
- The cake worked amazingly well and I have recieved many compliments on it, heh.
I'm actually seriously considering trying to do a professional cake making thing where people actually pay me to bake, so I need to build up a portfolio now. Antony is trying to get me the contract for his cousin's wedding next year which is terrifying to say the least, but would also be very cool. I know I have two cakes lined up for August but they're family birthday ones so they don't really count hah.
- Our mini-holiday to southampton was fantastic; we went to Southsea and Bournemouth and Hythe and Christchurch (which is utterly beautiful) and did the Southampton Roman walls walk (because there are loads still standing) and saw live music and ate steak and I loved it. House hunting down there in a couple of months, excited doesn't really cover it!
- The dog killed a bird today. It was horrible. Eurgh.
- I am desperately looking for a job because I have no money. It's a pain in the arse because no one wants to employ someone who can only be there for two months. But I really really really need some cash asap. Here's hoping the cake orders come rolling in ;)
- We saw a load of Anton's family who were up visiting yesterday, which was fun only it meant I was sitting on the floor all day because of a chair shortage, and now my back wants to die.
